THE JOURNEY
I’ve always been curious and creative.
After entering the Marine Corps upon high school graduation, I experienced first-hand how poorly designed equipment can impact an individual and a mission while deployed twice to Iraq.
As a civilian welder/fabricator I became intrigued by how humans interact with objects and environments.

As a civilian welder/fabricator I became intrigued by how humans interact with objects and environments.
I transferred my previous life experiences (and some college credits) to the University of Michigan where I further developed my passion for design as a method to increase the satisfaction of the human experience.
My process is Human-Centered Design, solution prototyping, and tinkering. Through the military I developed an appreciation for attention to detail, which I apply to all aspects of my digital and physical design products.

THE PATH AHEAD
I consider myself a ‘forever student’, eager to build on my design foundations through continuous observation, collaboration, research and action in order to enhance the everyday experience for others.
Through empathic design methods, and staying in tune with the latest design trends, I hope to utilize tools and materials to create impactful experiences.
